5-10 Years Commercial Litigation Associate‎‎ – Montréal Office

DLA Piper (Canada) LLP Montreal office is newly looking for a talented associate with 5-10 years’ ‎experience in commercial and civil litigation. The successful candidate will work on a ‎variety of litigation ‎matters for our clients, supported by an incredibly busy and talented ‎team. You will be a self-starter and ‎looking to punch above your weight in our collegial ‎and high functioning group. You will be a proven ‎team-player.‎

‎Specifically, the successful candidate’s skills and experience will include:

  • Working independently on a multitude of tasks involved in litigation matters with minimal ‎supervision, ‎and progressing files in a timely manner;‎
  • Expertise in Quebec court filings, procedures, documents, and strong advocacy skills;‎
  • Strong attention to detail and outstanding writing skills;‎
  • Excellent client communication skills, ideally having worked with market-leaders in a variety ‎of ‎industries.‎

You will contribute to a complex mix of disputes work and will continue to expand your ‎litigation skills in ‎many of our key areas, which include: general ‎commercial and civil litigation, employment law, insurance ‎law, as well as class actions. ‎

Our clients are global and well-established entities, as well as entrepreneurs and ‎growing companies; ‎experience from a national, international or highly regarded ‎litigation boutique is preferred.
