DLA Piper (Canada) LLP is pleased to welcome Michelle Thomarat to the firm’s Toronto office as an associate in the Litigation, Arbitration and Investigations Group.
Michelle has a broad civil litigation practice and has represented clients in a range of matters before the Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal for Ontario, the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, and the Law Society Tribunal in Toronto.
Before joining DLA Piper, Michelle worked at a prominent Toronto boutique firm focusing on civil litigation and labour law, and in the litigation department at a leading national firm in Calgary. Previously, she was an Articled Clerk at the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, where she assisted trial judges on a broad range of matters including complex commercial litigation, criminal law, defamation, professional negligence, and appeals.
During law school, Michelle worked with with the Canadian Civil Liberties Association and as a research assistant for several professors at the University of Ottawa.
