Gargi has a broad corporate/commercial practice with a focus on technology and privacy. Gargi has particular experience assisting companies with debt and equity financing, employment matters, technology transactions, IP protection strategies and litigation matters.
She has successfully represented clients before the Ontario Information and Privacy Commissioner, the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal, the Superior Court of Ontario, the Divisional Court of Ontario, the Federal Court of Canada, and the Ontario Court of Appeal.
Before joining the firm, Gargi was corporate counsel and corporate secretary to two emerging technology companies. She has spoken at the Canadian Bar Association and Human Resources Professionals Association conferences and has written articles on employment law and privacy matters.
Gargi is a certified privacy professional. She is currently a member of Peerscale (formerly known as AceTech) and was previously Director of Events for Young Women in Law (YWL), Director of Corporate Events for Turnout, National Ballet of Canada and Director of Mentorship for SABA.
