DLA Piper (Canada) LLP will once more sponsor Pro Bono Going Public, a free outdoor legal advice-a-thon organized by the Access Pro Bono Society of British Columbia.
Access Pro Bono’s free legal advice-a-thon promotes access to justice for individuals with low to modest incomes, including the homeless who may otherwise lack access to traditional free legal advice clinics. It relies on the efforts of over 100 volunteer lawyers who offer their counsel on a wide range of legal issues. The event, which spans three cities in BC, is in its 12th year. The firm has organized a team of lawyers who will contribute their time at the Vancouver clinic on September 6, 2019.
In addition to its sponsorship and participation in the Vancouver clinic, the firm has also organized a number of initiatives to raise funds to support Access Pro Bono programs.
Participant lawyers from DLA Piper Canada include: Tamlin Cooper, Robert Dallakyan, Justina Driedger, Monique Evans, Karen Fellowes, Michelle Isaak, Peter Li, Jessica Sullivan and Taryn Urquhart.
