We are pleased to announce that Robert Seidel, Q.C., has been elected for an additional three year term as Canada Managing Partner effective November 1, 2019.
Rob has been Managing Partner of DLA Piper Canada since 2007, and has overseen the firm’s most significant period of growth and transition, including leading the Canadian side of the 2015 combination with DLA Piper. Since assuming the position, Rob has been deeply involved in all aspects of strategic growth, client development, brand elevation, domestic and DLA Global integration while keeping a tight focus on day-to-day operations.
Throughout his years of practice Rob has shown legal expertise in all aspects of energy law, environmental law, natural resource law, corporate/commercial and M&A law, real estate law, forestry law, commercial lending and infrastructure & project finance. Rob has been recognized for his work in these areas by leading ranking guides including the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, Best Lawyers in Canada, Chambers Canada and the Legal 500 Canada.
