DLA Piper (Canada) LLP welcomes Breanna Needham to the firm’s Toronto office as an associate in the Litigation Group.
Breanna practises commercial litigation with a particular focus on commercial fraud matters; her practice also includes class actions and professional liability litigation. Her extensive experience incorporates injunctions and extraordinary remedies (including Anton Piller and Mareva orders), advising on legal obligations in the political sector with respect to ethical compliance and conflicts of interest, and representing clients in sensitive and high-stakes commercial disputes across a variety of industries and practice areas. Breanna has successfully represented clients before all levels of court in Ontario, as well as in mediations and commercial arbitrations.
Breanna is passionate about equity, diversity and inclusion in the legal profession and society more broadly. She is a member of the executive of the Ontario Bar Association's Class Actions Section and Women Lawyers Forum, a supporter and advocate of Pro Bono Ontario, and regularly volunteers as a Jessup moot judge both internationally and within Canada.
