Nicole Jamani practises civil and commercial litigation in a wide variety of areas including environmental, regulatory and administrative law, medical malpractice, personal injury, defamation, shareholders’ disputes and employment issues.

Nicole is a member of the firm’s employment law group. She has experience in employment-related matters which involve counselling clients of the firm in areas such as the negotiation of employment agreements, termination issues and the management of  disputes between employers and employees.

Nicole also practises in the area of wills, estates and trusts. She assists clients with estate planning, probate, administering trusts, and dependant’s relief applications. She also has significant experience in estate litigation, where she represents clients in complicated estate disputes.

Before returning to the firm, Nicole worked for the provincial government as an access and privacy advisor, where she assisted the public and supported government ministries in the interpretation and application of privacy legislation. She also acted as a key member of a team critically analyzing Alberta’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act with a view to amending the legislation.
