DLA Piper partners recognised in The Lawyer Hot 100 report 2018

DLA Piper's Corporate partner James Kerrigan and Restructuring partner Amy Jacks have been recognised in this year's renowned Hot 100 report, published by industry magazine The Lawyer.

The Hot 100 is an annual report which comprises 'the standout lawyers in the UK – the most daring, innovative and creative lawyers from in-house, private practice and the Bar.'

James has been a partner in the Manchester Corporate team for over 10 years and specialises in M&A and private equity transactions, acting for corporates, private equity houses and management teams. James’ highlights in 2017 include advising on the sale of Clarke Energy to US power group Kohler Inc, a transaction which The Lawyer has described as ' the deal of the year for the North West, a truly international deal.' He has also acted for Lloyds Development Capital and Beech Tree Private Equity on a number of transactions last year, as well as for Primary Capital in the primary buyout of manufacturing company Metamark.

Amy heads the London Restructuring Group at DLA Piper and acts for a variety of funds, investment and clearing banks, insolvency practitioners and property advisors. During 2017 Amy has advised on a range of deals for the firm’s institutional banking clients, as well as acting for technology and renewables businesses and on portfolio sales of performing and non-performing loans. Due to her many successes, The Lawyer has highlighted that Amy 'made a name for herself last year acting on both the buy and sell side for multi-billion European loan portfolio transactions.'
