Heidi Hoelgaard joined LETT in 2015 after a position as Nordic corporate legal counsel in a world-leading data-collecting and distribution enterprise, where, for a number of years, she was engaged in the protection of personal data, IT and general issues of commercial law etc. In this enterprise, she gained extensive experience of the practical implementation of personal-data compliance and sat on a number of boards of directors.

Heidi specialises in personal data protection, and her advice spans all aspects of personal data law, including defining legal risks in connection with processing of personal data, technical and organisational data-safety requirements, preparing privacy policies and compliance manuals, personal-data protection in connection with the use of data processors, outsourcing and business transfers, etc.

In addition, Heidi has extensive practical experience of inspection and complaints procedures at the Data Protection Agency, crisis management in connection with security breaches, international data transfers and discussions with the Agency in connection with product development, in Denmark as well as abroad.

A specialist area of hers includes the special rules applying to credit-reporting agencies. Moreover, Heidi is engaged in general issues of commercial and business law and has wide experience in drawing up and negotiating commercial contracts, IT contracts and outsourcing contracts.
