Frédérique Gillet deals with all aspects of employment law (individual and collective) and social security law. She has particular experience in restructuring operations (collective dismissal and plant closure procedures), industrial relations (workers participation/representation), data protection and privacy.

Her clients are mainly medium-sized and multinational companies, whom she assists with:

  • Restructuring operations, collective dismissals and plant closure procedures, including the setting up of social plans and collective bargaining agreements and negotiations with the trade union
  • Industrial relations and, in particular, the elections of works councils and committees for prevention and protection in the work place 
  • Takeovers/transfer of undertakings and providing labour law advice regarding the setting up of employment conditions and remuneration schedules 
  • Setting up salary structures (including flexible compensation plans) and working time schemes (including flexible work hour schemes) 
  • Drafting employment documents, as well as documents relating to dismissals, drafting of employment documents (employment contracts, work regulations, telecommunication policies, company car policies), as well as documents relating to dismissals (including, drafting of settlement agreements), and
  • Legal procedures before the employment courts and tribunals (dealing for example with some cases of dismissal for gross misconduct, harassment and discrimination; assisting clients in case of dismissal of protected employees in the framework of the specific applicable procedures).

Frédérique's clients are from a wide range of industries, including chemical, mechanical engineering, office equipment, fire and security, printing and distribution, mobile phone retailers, consultancy and leisure.
