Joywin Mathew has more than 10 years' experience representing issuers, underwriters, funds and corporates on multi-jurisdictional finance transactions, equity, equity-linked and debt offerings and private placements.

He has wide experience and local knowledge of the regulatory landscape of some of the South Asian jurisdictions, in particular India. Joywin is closely engaged with the “Masala” bond market and foreign currency bond issuances from India.

Recently he led on the debut issuance by the National Highways Authority of India of INR 30 billion of Masala Bonds. This transaction which was the world’s largest Masala Bonds issuance for a five year bond was commended in the recently published FT Innovative Lawyers Report 2017 in the "New Market and Capital" category. This transaction also won the award for "Best Masala Bond" under the "Best Deals - South Asia" category in The Asset Asian Awards, 2017.
