Colin was highly commended in the prestigious Lawyer of the Year category by the Legal Business Awards 2013 for his work leading the DLA Piper team on the £4.5 billion Intercity Express Programme - advising the Hitachi/John Laing consortium, Agility Trains, on the award-winning (European PPP Project of the Year (PFI Awards), European Rolling Stock Project of the Year (Project Finance Magazine), Partnership Bulletin, Transport Project of the Year, Pathfinder Project of the Year and Global Grand Prix Project of the Year), for the provision of rolling stock to the GWML and ECML. The DLA Piper team also won Partnership Bulletin Legal Adviser of the Year, 2013. Colin also led the DLA Piper team that won the prestigious Lawyer Award for Infrastructure and Projects team of the year 2013.
