Dr Marc Jacob is an advocate and adviser in international disputes, particularly in investor-state and commercial arbitration.

Marc Jacob has many years of extensive experience in major investment treaty arbitrations, including under ICSID and UNCITRAL rules, as well as in related domestic proceedings. He frequently acts as counsel both for sovereign states and their entities as well as for multinational companies across sectors such as (renewable) energy and natural resources, industrial, construction, transportation, finance, technology and services.

As a German Rechtsanwalt and English barrister, Marc Jacob has a broad commercial practice, often at the intersection of multiple jurisdictions, legal traditions and cultural backgrounds. He has been involved in many high-value commercial and construction arbitrations in numerous countries worldwide, including ICC, DIS, Swiss Rules, VIAC, SCC, ICDR, SIAC, HKIAC and ad hoc arbitrations. His work covers disputes concerning M&A, joint ventures and private equity, banking and finance, life sciences, IP and licensing, cross-border sales, energy contracts and infrastructure projects, among others.
