Wiebke Jakob advises German and international companies on all technology related legal issues. She focusses on the areas of data protection law, IT law, E-Commerce and internet law.

Wiebke has worked extensively and consistently with a prominent American online vendor advising on diverse data protection issues including employee-related data protection law and compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation. She has also surveyed and evaluated data protection risk indices on a global scale for several international clients. Through this deep and varied engagement with data protection law, Wiebke has developed a high level of expertise in this field.

In addition, Wiebke has specific knowledge of data protection law requirements pertaining to connected cars and to general legal issues arising in the automotive sector. She has acquired much of this knowledge by participating in client secondments or placements with important and high-profile clients to work on special projects.

Beyond her work with data protection law, Wiebke's activities include drafting contracts for IT projects, advising clients on software licensing and cloud services, and drafting general terms and conditions for technology companies.
