DLA Piper has appointed Johan Renes as a partner in its Intellectual Property & Technology (IPT) group in Amsterdam. Johan joins the firm on 1 March 2017 from JPWaVE, a consultancy firm in the life sciences sector. Previously, Johan worked for Akzo Nobel and Vereenigde Octrooibureaux.
Johan is a qualified European patent attorney and provides general consultancy services to international clients in the life sciences sector. He has extensive experience in patent litigation and IP portfolio management, as well financing and IPOs in the bio-tech sector.
This appointment follows the appointment of Paul Reeskamp as a partner in the Amsterdam IPT group in January 2016. Paul and Johan will work closely together advising clients in the bio-tech sector.
