Germany: Remuneration Transparency Bill to be debated in parliament
The German government has introduced the bill on pay transparency to the German Bundestag which will now debate the bill. The Bundestag may make some amendments but it is not likely that there will be significant changes. The Remuneration Transparency Act is planned to come into force on 1 July 2017.

Germany: Revision of the Law on Temporary Work from 1 April 2017
The German Parliament (Bundestag), with the approval of the Federal Council (Bundesrat), has passed amendments to the "Law on Temporary Work". The new rules will enter into force on 1 April 2017 and impact both on leasing personnel and also on work and service contracts.

UK: Brexit White Paper: Implications for employers
The Government has published its White Paper on the basis on which it proposes to approach negotiations with the EU on Brexit. There are three parts of the White Paper which will be of particular interest to employers, controlling immigration; securing rights for EU nationals in the UK and UK nationals in the EU; and protecting workers’ rights.

Saudi Arabia: Fees to be imposed on expats with dependants
Following the Saudi Arabian budget announcement for the coming year, it has been revealed that new legislation is being brought into force which will impose new monthly fees on expats who are sponsoring dependants in KSA and on private sector companies employing expats.
