Paola Aldrete Rivas focuses her practice on commercial arbitration, anticorruption, corporate law and data protection.

She has experience in local and international commercial arbitration proceedings. Paola has acted as sole arbitrator, secretary of arbitral tribunals and counsel. She has assisted partners, when acting as arbitrators, with research, review and analysis of expert witness reports, analysis of applicable law, and management of cases.

Paola has conducted internal investigations regarding allegations of serious and complex misconduct for national and transnational clients from the retail, gas and oil, logistics, and personal products sectors.

She started her professional career in 2010 and focused her practice on corporate law, foreign trade and customs law. Later, she served as a trader consultant at the Embassy of Mexico and the Ministry of Economy in Washington, DC, where she assisted with the negotiations of international treaties and supported the legal representation of Mexico before the World Trade Organization and US government entities.
