Ernst Haverkamp advises and litigates on all aspects of real estate, but due to his background in public law he is particularly experienced in the public and environmental law aspects of real estate. He acts for both national and international (institutional) clients, including developers, property funds, investors, lenders, retailers and hotels.

As associate and public law expert, Ernst gained experience in advising on high profile (international) transactions and (project) (re)developments. He is also experienced in conducting and managing due diligence processes from a public law perspective (planning and environmental law) in relation to (asset, share and finance) transactions and (re)developments.

Ernst has extensive market knowledge of real estate transactions that involve logistics, data centers, renewables and real estate portfolios (retail, hotel, residential and office). He is also increasingly focusing on “climate change” and “sustainability” (including the energy transition) in relation to real estate transactions and developments.
