DLA Piper names Matt Schwartz head of Growth Lending

DLA Piper announced today that partner Matt Schwartz has been named head of the firm's Growth Lending practice.

Matt also serves as head of the firm's Venture Lending practice and chair of the firm's West Coast Finance group. In those capacities, he represents banks, funds, family offices, companies and high net worth individuals in structuring and negotiating a wide range of debt and equity investments in technology, life science and other consumer-focused companies.

DLA Piper's global Venture Lending practice advises banks and funds on debt facilities to early stage companies to help extend runway to their Series B or C equity rounds or a merger/acquisition. DLA Piper's global Growth Lending practice advises banks and funds on debt facilities to Series B (or later) companies to enable them to reach profitability, a merger/acquisition or IPO.
