DLA Piper (Canada) LLP Welcomes Kevin Hoy

DLA Piper (Canada) LLP welcomes Kevin Hoy to the firm’s Calgary office as an ‎associate in the Restructuring and Insolvency Group.  ‎

Kevin has an extensive background in insolvency and restructuring and commercial ‎litigation. He has ‎successfully represented clients before the Court of Appeal for ‎Saskatchewan, the Saskatchewan Court of ‎Queen’s Bench, and various ‎administrative tribunals. ‎

Kevin’s experience includes acting as first or second chair in numerous insolvency ‎proceedings such as applications under ‎the Companies Creditors’ Arrangements Act ‎and counsel to senior secured creditors in Bankruptcy and ‎Insolvency Act receivership ‎proceedings. ‎He has served as lead counsel in multiple civil trials and applications for ‎summary judgment,  numerous contested Chambers applications, and has acted for ‎chartered ‎banks and private lenders in residential, commercial, and farmland foreclosure ‎actions. ‎

Kevin joins DLA Piper Canada after  practicing as a senior associate at a ‎Saskatchewan-based business law firm.‎
