DLA Piper (Canada) LLP welcomes Associates Sean M. Baraich and Brandon Manhas ‎to the Vancouver ‎office

DLA Piper (Canada) LLP is pleased to announce that Sean M. Baraich and Brandon Manhas have joined the firm as a Associates in the Vancouver office. ‎Sean and Brandon join the Corporate Group and will assist with general corporate and securities law matters.‎‎

Brandon Manhas practises corporate law with a focus on public and private mergers and acquisitions, ‎securities offerings, and general corporate and securities law matters.‎ He advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, private ‎placements, stock ‎exchange listings and other transactions. Brandon also provides ongoing advice to clients ‎on a number of ‎related matters, including securities regulatory compliance, corporate governance, ‎continuous disclosure ‎obligations, stock exchange matters and general corporate law.‎

While obtaining his J.D. from the Peter A. Allard School of Law, Brandon was a member of the Law & ‎Business Society, serving as a First Year Representative and as Co-President and Co-Treasurer during his ‎second year.

Sean Baraich’s practice focuses on corporate and securities law transactions involving private and public ‎companies. ‎He advises clients on a variety of corporate, commercial and securities law matters, including public ‎offerings, private placements and mergers and acquisitions. He has acted for both purchasers and ‎vendors in connection with various equity and asset transactions and for both issuers and underwriters in ‎connection with debt and equity financings. In addition, Sean advises public and private companies with ‎respect to general corporate and securities law issues, including continuous disclosure obligations, ‎corporate governance, regulatory compliance and Canadian stock exchange matters.‎

While completing his J.D. at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia Sean ‎was active in his student community as a student representative with Legal ‎Education Outreach and a ‎member of the South Asian Law Students’ Association.‎ ‎

Prior to joining DLA Piper Canada both Sean and Brandon were associates at a leading Canadian business law firm.
