DLA Piper named Law.com's New England Product Liability/Mass Torts Litigation Department of the Year

DLA Piper has been named the 2026 Law.com New England Product Liability/Mass Torts Litigation Department of the Year in recognition of its outstanding success in complex product liability and mass tort litigation.

The award recognizes the firm for its leadership in some of the nation's most consequential pharmaceutical and toxic tort litigation. Recent successes include securing a landmark summary judgment victory that eliminated approximately 80,000 Zantac claims for Sanofi, significantly narrowing the scope of nationwide GLP-1 litigation for Novo Nordisk, obtaining the near-complete dismissal of nationwide Chantix litigation for Pfizer, and serving as lead counsel to BASF in high-profile PFAS litigation.

“We are grateful to our clients for this recognition, which reflects the trust they place in us to guide them through their most consequential product liability and mass tort matters,” said DLA Piper Partner Matt Holian. “That trust is a function of our team's commitment to delivering innovative, strategic, and results-driven advocacy.”

DLA Piper's Product Liability team serves as a go-to defense team for the world’s leading pharmaceutical and medical device companies, guiding clients through some of the most closely watched litigation in the country. The team is known for securing early, decisive victories through sophisticated scientific, trial, and appellate strategies.
