DLA Piper's growing IPT group in Los Angeles recently welcomed entertainment and IP litigator Doug Emhoff. Doug maintains a busy litigation practice from his dual offices in Los Angeles and Washington, DC, representing clients in a wide array of industries, including media and entertainment, digital media, sports, advertising, technology, hospitality and character licensing.
Doug has tried cases in state and federal courts and before administrative bodies. He has extensive experience in all forms of alternative dispute resolution, along with substantial class action defense experience, particularly relating to allegations of unfair business practices, false advertising and marketing, privacy and wage and hour violations. Along with high-stakes litigation, Doug serves as a trusted advisor to many companies and often consults on high-level strategic and business issues.
Doug has been a featured speaker for almost a decade at the Association of Independent Commercial Producers' popular "Town Hall on Legal Issues" and "Lawyers on the Clock" symposiums in Los Angeles and New York.
Doug received his J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law and his B.A. from California State University, Northridge.
