Richard Casey focuses his practice on domestic and international project development, manufacturing and regulatory issues, with an emphasis on renewable energy. His extensive background, managing both the supply (seller) and development (buyer) sides of a project development and construction cycle, brings a thorough and comprehensive approach to advising clients on all aspects of the process.

Richard has extensive experience managing a broad range of complex transactional, corporate and regulatory matters in the manufacturing, retail and energy industries involving capital improvements and large asset-based transactions ranging from US$25 million to over US$500 million. Such matters include the structuring and negotiation of US and international project development, acquisition, sale and construction activities, as well as advising on cross border due diligence for foreign market entry.

Richard's experience also includes managing and advising on local, state, federal and international regulatory and compliance issues associated with the manufacturing, retail, construction, energy and project development industries, including environmental, hazardous materials management, anti-bribery and work place safety (OSHA) matters.

Richard also has drafted and negotiated a wide array of project, corporate and retail agreements, including supply and installation agreements, asset and share purchase agreements, EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) agreements, NAESB gas and electricity contracts, long-term O&M (operations and maintenance) agreements, PPA's (power purchase agreements), and licensing, merchandising, land lease, easement, joint venture and development agreements.
