Lauren’s clients are active in a variety of industries and range from multi-national corporations to start-up companies and private individuals.

Her experience includes advising on general corporate matters, as well as share and asset purchases, borrowing and lending transactions, business reorganizations, general security agreements, and assisting corporate clients with documentation associated with financing and mortgages.

Lauren also has experience advising clients on regulatory compliance and consumer protection issues, helping clients market, distribute and sell their products in Canada. These products include cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and medical devices.

Lauren is also at the forefront of an emerging area of corporate law in Canada, the “benefit corporation”, which has the potential to change the way for-profit organizations incorporate social responsibility into their business model and operations.

While completing her Master of Laws in International Business Law, Lauren interned at the World Bank in Washington, DC, where she gained valuable insight into foreign investment regulation.
