Amy Farber focuses in the area of commercial leasing, with extensive experience representing both landlords and tenants in office, and retail and warehouse lease negotiations. Amy's deals include the representation of a major cable equipment company in its lease of approximately half a million square feet of warehouse space, and the representation of office tenants whose needs cover everything from a 3,000 square feet office with the right to have a coffee roaster and a tasting room for an international commodities house, to the sublease of 125,000 square feet in midtown NYC for a major media company. Amy also represented a major financial institution in the amendment and restatement of a lease for a million square foot office building. With respect to retail leasing, Amy routinely represents national and international retail tenants on leases that cover everything from restaurants to fashion in locations that run the gamut from middle America malls to Madison Avenue and Rodeo Drive, with particular expertise representing supermarket tenants and ongoing lease administration. Amy’s leasing acumen is known in the industry which has led to various speaking engagements, including serving on the Practicing Law Institute’s panel on commercial leasing. Amy is also experienced in all aspects of lease related due diligence in connection with real estate acquisitions and corporate transactions.

Amy has experience with real estate financing, conveyancing and leasing representing borrowers, sellers, landlords and tenants and developers in a variety of commercial real estate transactions, including having negotiated some of the signs that light up New York's Times Square.

  • more than 250,000 square feet of commercial industrial space in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area

Examples of her deals include:

  • The consolidation and early termination of a major financial institution’s million plus square foot office space lease
  • On behalf of the landlord, the renovation and re-tenanting of a 200,000+ square foot mall at the base of a million-plus square foot office tower in NYC 
  • The lease of 3 floors (150,000 square feet) of prime NYC office space on behalf of the landlord
  • The lease of a prominent NYC theater to a major cable network
  • The ground lease for a plant for a major pharmaceutical manufacturer
  • Leases for the roll-out of a high-end Italian designer’s entry into the American market
  • The underlying lease and subsequent licensing of a high-end multi-purpose event venue in Tribeca
  • Advised Byron Real Estate LLC on the US$17 million acquisition of former GE chairman and CEO Jack Welch's One Beacon Court condominium in New York
