Leonard Gubar focuses his practice on corporate mergers and acquisitions, primarily representing leveraged buyout groups in acquisitions of private companies, acquisition of controlling blocks in public companies, or management-led buyouts.

Leonard's work also includes subsequent add-on strategic acquisitions or dispositions and ultimate exit strategy events, such as sales or initial public offerings. General corporate representation in the areas of employment contract issues, acquisition earn-out disputes, and capital structuring and refinancings is also part of his activities.

Additionally, Leonard has represented numerous publicly held companies in connection with public and private equity and debt financings, special committees of boards of directors in connection with evaluations of takeover, going private, or insider transactions, and management or insurgent groups involved in takeover attempts or proxy solicitations.
