About

Aidan McCormack is the US Chair and Global Co-Chair of DLA Piper's 400-plus lawyer Insurance & Reinsurance Sector Practice. 

He represents financial services industry clients in a wide range of dispute, transactional and regulatory matters. He has a particular concentration on insurance and reinsurance-related litigations, arbitrations, and regulatory proceedings. 

Aidan serves as national and global counsel to a wide range of companies. He has represented clients in matters throughout the Americas, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, Asia, and Bermuda. The wide variety of issues he has handled includes those involving fraud, due diligence, underwriting, specialty products, D&O exposures, E&O allegations, intellectual property disputes, catastrophic first-party losses, cyber and technology claims, toxic and mass tort liabilities, and entertainment books.

Aidan is a member of ARIAS-US, the Professional Liability Underwriting Society, and the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (FDCC). Aidan is also the former Commodore of and on the Board of Governors of the Port Washington Yacht Club and a former member of the Board of the American Red Cross.
