Natasha Rana is a member of the firm’s Projects, Energy and Infrastructure group, where her practice focuses primarily on public-private partnership (PPP) transactions.

Natasha has acted for equity sponsors, developers, lenders and other participants in connection with developing proposals and achieving financial close for projects across various jurisdictions in both Canada and the US. Natasha has worked on several industry-leading PPP transactions in Canada, and has experience on projects ranging from light rail transit and highway projects to hospitals and performance centres.

In addition to her familiarity with tendering and closing PPP transactions, Natasha has also assisted clients with an array operational stage matters, including effecting complex variations, addressing delays and defects, and closing secondary market transactions.

Natasha earned her Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia, where she held numerous leadership roles and received several merit-based awards. She also holds a Master of Science and an Honours Bachelor of Science (with Distinction), both from the University of Toronto. Since joining DLA, Natasha has been actively involved with the firm, serving on both the associates committee and the student recruitment committee, and acting regularly as a mentor to articling students. She summered and articled with the firm before joining as an associate.
