Steve Reynolds is a trial attorney with significant courtroom experience. He focuses on developing strategic approaches to high stakes litigation.

Steve handles a broad range of commercial litigation matters—from pleadings through trial and appeals—with a focus on intellectual property law in the areas of patent, trademark and unfair competition, and copyright law. Steve represents clients in automotive device, integrated circuit and signal processing, navigation, mobile and wireless communications, networking, power electronics, recycling and sustainability, medical device and other chemical, mechanical, electrical and computer technology. He also represents clients in the entertainment and publishing industries.

Steve has achieved success for clients, often at the summary judgment stage or before, in the following courts: Northern, Eastern, and Southern Districts of Illinois; Eastern and Western Districts of Texas; Central District of California; Southern District of New York; Western District of Wisconsin; District of Connecticut; Northern District of Georgia and District of Delaware.

Steve has litigated successful appeals before the US Supreme Court, the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit Court and the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He also has extensive experience litigating before the United States Patent and Trademark Office's Patent Trial and Appeal Board from filing through final written decision. And he has tried cases in arbitration proceedings and litigated before the Illinois state courts.

Steve has a BSE and MSE in aerospace engineering—a multidisciplinary area of study that includes circuit analysis, computer programming, materials science, structural analysis, physics, propulsion, aerodynamics, astrodynamics and flight dynamics.
