Struan Robertson has a general employment, labour law and commercial litigation practice.

Struan Robertson maintains a general practice in employment and labour law, with a particular focus on ‎litigation involving the workplace. Struan’s practice includes the ‎representation of management in various aspects of the employment relationship including: counselling and ‎litigation involving statutory claims, common law actions, restrictive covenants, fiduciary duty, termination ‎of employment, confidentiality, human rights, organizing activity, and collective bargaining. Struan ‎regularly acts for employers in contentious employment litigation, including where injunctive relief is ‎required. Struan also focuses on the negotiation and drafting of employments agreements for ‎management and executive employees.‎

Struan’s commercial litigation practice is most commonly in the areas of shareholder disputes, commercial tenancies, as well as environmental, real estate and construction disputes. Struan also assists clients in foreign jurisdictions with obtaining evidence through the letters rogatory process in British Columbia as well as counselling clients faced with this type of application. 

Before law school, Struan played varsity rugby for four years at the University of Victoria, achieving ‎Academic All-Canadian status each year and captaining the team for one year. Struan also played semi-‎professional rugby in France, and was selected to play for Canada at the Junior Rugby World Cup in ‎Wales in 2008.‎
