Alex is an associate in the Vancouver office where he practises in the litigation group, with a particular focus on general civil and commercial litigation, estate litigation, transportation law, environmental law and human rights law.

He has represented clients in BC’s Provincial and Supreme Courts, and in court-ordered mediations and settlement conferences. He has also assisted senior counsel on matters at the BC Court of Appeal, and at various administrative tribunals including the BC Human Rights Tribunal and the Canadian Transportation Agency.

During law school, Alex was a legal intern with the Pivot Legal Society, an advocacy organization for Vancouver’s Downtown East Side community. He also served as an associate editor on the University of British Columbia (UBC) Law Review, and as a peer tutor to first-year law students.

Alex joined the firm as a summer articled student in 2012, began his articles with the firm in 2013, and joined as an Associate in 2014.

Prior to law school, Alex worked as a professional saucier, music journalist, and musician. He continues to perform live music in Vancouver and other cities when time permits, and remains an avid culinary hobbyist.
