Fred Wu practises commercial litigation with a focus on intellectual property matters.

Fred has crafted submissions in proceedings before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Federal Court, and Federal Court of Appeal. He is also experienced at negotiation and securing favourable settlements for his clients out of court.

While attending the University of Ottawa, Fred was a member of the winning team at the Fox IP Moot and the Oxford International IP Moot, in addition to winning individual awards as the best oral advocate at both competitions. Fred gained experience as a summer student at two leading IP boutiques, then completing articles with DLA Piper.

Before law school, Fred obtained a master's degree in virology. From his thesis project, he co-authored two scientific research publications on virus biochemistry.
