Join us at DLA Piper for a seminar on the most significant changes in the new FIDIC Conditions of Contract (December 2017). The seminar will be held at our Aarhus office in DOKK1, which, incidentally, was constructed under a FIDIC-based contract.
DLA Piper partners Paul Giles and David Moss from our Manchester office will be there and share their extensive knowledge and experience with the rules from a British perspective.
The 2017 FIDIC Conditions of Contract are based on experiences from the 1999 edition and contain several fundamental changes, e.g. “the five golden principles”, which are recommendations to the parties in the contract negotiation and management phases. There have also been some changes to the nature of the Engineer’s role and to the provisions concerning construction schedule, claims and dispute resolution.
Our seminar will provide you with a practical insight into how to apply the new provisions, which potential challenges the parties to construction projects may face, and the resolutions proposed by the new rules.
Credit points will be awarded for attendance, and please state in your registration whether you wish to receive a diploma for attending the seminar. The diplomas will be handed out at the end of the seminar.
Paul Giles, David Moss, Kristian Skovgaard Larsen and Charlotte F. Malmqvist.
Presentations will be given in both Danish and English.
The seminar is aimed at enterprises and company lawyers.
