Marta Almeida practices in all aspects of real estate transactions with a particular focus on development projects, investment work and landlord and tenant matters. Marta has acted for several large institutional investors and occupiers, both in the Middle East and the UK.

Marta is the co-lead of DLA London’s Head Start and Pathways to Law scheme, a legal access program providing students with the essential knowledge, skills and confidence needed to succeed in a career in law.

Before relocating to the Middle East, Marta was the London lead for DLA Piper’s people network, Horizon.

Landlord and Tenant

  • Assisted with BBP’s university on their new London HQ move to 80,000 square foot at One Porken Street. This is the largest office move of December 2021.
  • Advising a listed property company on all real estate aspects of their West End villages including lettings of a number of flagship stores and restaurants.
  • Assisting an international banking group based in Milan expand their UK presence with a lease of their UK HQ at 55 Bishopsgate.
  • Acting tenant side in asset management transactions across the UK for a FTSE100 global leader in digital transformation client.

  • Acting for Lucid, the EV manufacturer, on the real estate aspects of its planned production facility in KSA.
  • Acting for a household FTSE250 Insurance Company in the sale and leaseback of their Bromley HQ worth circa £21m.
  • Acted for a large Self Storage Company on complicated £80m purchase.
