Yousef is a Senior Associate in our Projects team based in Dubai, focusing on construction matters and project agreements. Prior to his legal career, Yousef worked as a Civil Engineer on several projects in the UAE, Yemen and Jordan. Yousef continues to develop his interest in engineering and the built environment as a key focus in his practice areas.

Yousef has assisted developers, lenders and authorities in complex and high-profile energy and infrastructure projects in the Middle East region.

EXPERIENCE

Yousef's experience includes advising:

  • Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA) on the procurement of a 90 MIGD sea water reverse osmosis desalination plant in Sharjah.
  • Saudi Water Partnership Company in the Jazan small scale sewage treatment program across multiple sites as a PPP.
  • The consortium of Miahona and Thabat during the preparation and negotiation phases of their bid proposal through to financial close for the construction, ownership, and operation of the Ras Tanura wastewater treatment project procured by Saudi Aramco in Saudi Arabia.
  • The lenders in support of a bidding consortium on the REPDO 5 round of solar projects in Saudi Arabia.
  • Lenders to a bidding consortium to the Mecca Courthouse PPP development.
