Laura is a competition lawyer with over 15 years’ experience helping multinational groups, market leaders and industry associations manage competition, merger control and foreign direct investment (FDI) matters.

She advises on investigations, dawn raids, sector inquiries and complaint procedures, as well as national and EU merger control and FDI screening proceedings. Laura also helps clients structure commercial policies, transactions and compliance frameworks so that competition concerns are identified and addressed at an early stage and support efficient business decisions.

Her work covers a broad range of sectors, including retail and FMCG, agribusiness, energy and utilities, telecoms, pharmaceuticals, industrial manufacturing, automotive, technology, real estate and investment funds.

Laura designs and implements tailored antitrust compliance programmes, including bid-management procedures, internal guidelines, monitoring mechanisms and training for management and operational teams. Several programmes she worked on were formally recognised by the Romanian Competition Council as mitigating circumstances.

  • Advising an international dairy group in a Romanian Competition Council investigation concerning alleged price-fixing in the butter market.*
  • Advising a major food retailer in an investigation concerning alleged price-fixing, most-favoured-nation clauses and resale-price restrictions in the food retail market.*
  • Advising a global technology company in an abuse-of-dominance investigation concerning an alleged refusal to supply in the printing consumables market.*
  • Advising an international agribusiness group on EU merger control proceedings and the referral to the Romanian Competition Council in connection with the creation of a Romanian joint venture.*
  • Advising a telecommunications operator on the competition law matters of negotiating an extension to the network-sharing arrangement with another leading operator.*
