About

Matthew Angelo is an experienced complex commercial litigator, having worked with some of the largest technology, financial services, pharmaceutical, and hospitality companies in the world. He has deep experience defending clients against antitrust violations, False Claims Act allegations, accounting malpractice suits, and contract and tort disputes brought by both government agencies and private parties. Matthew’s experience includes managing every step in the litigation process from responding to a civil investigation demand from the government or complaint from a private party, extensive written discovery, document collection, review, and production, mediations, arbitrations, and, where necessary, through conclusion of the investigation or trial. He has also represented individuals in white collar investigations from the Securities and Exchange Commission, including of a foreign national based in the United Arab Emirates accused of accounting fraud.

He is familiar with the difficulties in discovery in complex litigation and has managed discovery processes involving millions of documents and large review teams, and he has defended and taken depositions of high-level executives at some of the largest companies in the country.

Matthew has achieved results for his clients in a variety of areas. His work has resulted in dismissal of claims against one of the largest banks in the country and one of the largest technology companies, as well as a two-million-dollar payout to a former member of a Tribal 8(a) Company.
