Alina is a highly experienced competition lawyer, with over 25 years of experience in different industries, strong knowledge and understanding of various sectors.

Alina is providing regulatory and commercial advice on technology related projects (including for clients in the IT, telecoms, gambling sectors).

Alina advises clients on the drafting and negotiation of a range of complex commercial and technology agreements, including IT outsourcing contracts, cloud-based agreements and service agreements.

EXPERIENCE

  • Assisting a multinational technology company in navigating the local telecommunications legislation in connection with its project of deploying a large broadband satellite internet constellation in order to provide broadband internet connectivity. In addition to advising the client on telecom regulatory aspects, she regularly assisted them with various data privacy and technology law matters.
  • Assisting provider of defense products and services specializing in radar in the process of obtaining the permit for 5G networks. Offering comprehensive support for preparation and review of all necessary documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations during the 5G permit process, including liaison with competent authorities.
  • Optimised one of the most important pharmaceutical concerns in the world distribution system in Romania. This included providing legal assistance and advice in respect of reshaping legal documents underlying the distribution system, both contractual arrangements and unilateral company policies – including providing tailored advice in connection with potential default by distributors.
  • Providing dedicated assistance in implementing a prospective new emergency channel in addition to current traditional distribution and direct-to-pharmacy channels: including testing its viability by using a genuine agency agreement involving a “flash” transfer of title over the medicines of one of the most important pharmaceutical concerns in the world and by securing the Competition Council's guidance in respect of this agreement.
  • Providing support for an important pharmaceutical concerns in respect of various requests for information of the Romanian Competition Council in two antitrust investigations into a firms potential abusive behaviour on the Romanian market for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma.
  • Group-wide IT function of an international leading energy company in a complex tender for outsourcing the IT, cloud and cyber security services specialized in energy sector, including related Romanian legal framework and public procedure overviews.
