Joaquin Araya

Joaquin Araya is the Chief Operating Officer of DLA Piper Argentina.

He has extensive experience as an auditor, having worked for more than 14 years for leading financial institutions such as Citibank and Banco de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, where he served as Chief of Advisors of the Vice Presidency and was appointed by the bank’s board to be project leader for the 2005 Strategic Plan (Recupero de Créditos). Joaquin also has extensive experience in internal and external audits, negotiation of liabilities, balance sheets, public tenders, debt restructuring, financial contracts and loans, and managing processes and work teams.
