Joaquín Araya is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of DLA Piper Argentina.
He has more than 15 years of experience as an auditor at leading financial institutions, including Citibank, Wells Fargo Financial, and Banco de la Provincia de Buenos Aires. At the latter, he served as Chief Advisor to the Vice President and was appointed by the Board of Directors to lead the 2005 Strategic Plan for Loan Recovery.
His experience encompasses internal and external auditing, fraud prevention and investigation, compliance, balance sheet analysis, liability negotiation and debt restructuring, financial contracts and loans, public bidding, and process and team management.
