Mercedes is a senior associate in the Corporate and M&A team at DLA Piper Spain.

She has more than 8 years' experience in the corporate department, advising on corporate matters and corporate restructuring transactions of groups of companies (i.e. mergers, spin-offs, winding-up and liquidation, etc.) for both national and international clients.

Before joining DLA Piper, she worked in the Corporate Department of a big four.

  • Advising on the management of the global secretariat of a leading energy group, including the coordination of recurring advice with more than 70 jurisdictions.*
  • Advising a leading company in the education sector on the carve-out of a branch of the group's activity.*
  • Advising a client in the food sector on the corporate restructuring of its group through the merger of several group companies.*
  • Advising a client in the IT sector on the acquisition of a company in the IT sector through the drafting of the corresponding due diligence report.*
  • Advising on the vendor due diligence process of a client in the telecommunications sector including the coordination of teams and due diligence work in 13 jurisdictions.*
  • Advising a foreign fund on the acquisition of a majority stake, from several sellers, in certain companies in the water infrastructure sector, including the drafting of the corresponding due diligence reports.
