Ben is a London-based Associate in the Finance team, advising on a broad range of international, transactional matters.
Ben has experience advising a variety of clients including issuers, banks, funds and sovereigns across a variety of markets, with a particular focus on the sustainable economy. He has worked on a number of high-profile deals, including the restructuring of debt profiles for a number of African sovereigns, a Green Bond financing for the acquisition and roll-up of forestry companies across Latin America and a number of separate US private placement note issuances for an energy infrastructure provider.

EXPERIENCE
- Acted for an Issuer in relation to a Green Bond financing the acquisition of certain forestry companies across three different countries and seven regions of Latin America.
- Advised a national government in relation to the issuance of a Blue Bond for the purposes of financing development expenditures, refinancing part of its obligations outstanding under certain syndicated loan agreements and protecting the ocean that surrounds the nation.
- Advising an Issuer in relation to the redomiciling of their ~EUR 150,000,000 Bond programme.
- Advising a European financial institution on an STS synthetic securitisation of a multi-billion Euro reference portfolio of Danish auto loans, with credit protection being provided through credit linked notes issued to various private investors.
- Advising a UK lender, as seller, servicer, risk retention holder, and cash administrator, on a GBP 300 million public RMBS of second charge residential and mixed-use mortgage loans made to UK borrowers. The securitisation involved the issuance of eight classes of notes, rated by DBRS, KBRA, and S&P, cleared through Euroclear and Clearstream, and admitted to listing and trading on the regulated market of Euronext Dublin.
- Advising the sponsors on the ~SAR1.5b financing of the construction of an accommodation village in Saudi Arabia.
- Advising a European credit investment firm in relation to its sale to a global private equity firm.
