Chris is a commercial real estate lawyer with experience in investment acquisitions and disposals, asset management, real estate finance, development, and corporate structured real estate transactions.

Chris primarily advises institutional investors, private equity funds, listed real estate companies/investment funds, corporate occupiers and pension funds. Chris has experience across a variety of asset classes, including office, retail, student accommodation, industrial, logistics, data centres and healthcare, and is experienced in navigating both UK and multi-jurisdictional transactions.

Chris recently completed a client secondment at Realty Income’s London office in the international investments team.

EXPERIENCE

  • Advising Oval Real Estate on the direct acquisition of a portfolio of 38 real estate assets for circa GBP 905 million.
  • Advising a US private equity client in relation to their acquisition of a portfolio of 31 industrial assets located in the UK, France and Germany for in excess of GBP 1 billion.
  • Advising a UK listed property company on all real estate aspects of their West End villages including lettings of a number of flagship stores and restaurants.
  • Advising a US private equity client in relation to their acquisition of a logistics asset in North London for GBP 143 million.
  • Advising a US headquartered alternative real estate assets investment manager on their real estate, financing and property management requirements as part of their acquisition of a portfolio of 5 life science parks in the UK for GBP 250 million.
  • Advising a US private equity client in relation to the sale of a prominent 380,000 square foot office building in central London for GBP 450 million.
  • Advising a prominent UK developer on the acquisition of a retail park in North London for GBP 51.4 million.
  • Advising a leading UK commercial property manager in relation to their disposal of a 25,000 square foot mixed-use asset in Central London for GBP 34.9 million.
  • Advising a boutique media company on their London HQ letting which comprised 8,662 square feet with an annual rent in excess of GBP 600,000.
