Jackob Ben-Ezra focuses his practice on patent litigation and related intellectual property disputes, representing industry-leading tech and tech-focused companies in intellectual property lawsuits in federal courts all around the country.

His cases span a wide range of technologies, including computer software and hardware, web-based applications, wireless communication networks and devices, mobile payment technology, telephony, battery technology, industrial printing presses, sales force automation, and oil and gas devices, as a few examples.

Jackob regularly manages teams in high-stakes patent disputes and works to formulate result-oriented case strategy aimed at efficiently resolving his clients’ disputes in the shortest amount of time.  Further supporting his litigation practice, Jackob also has experience with pre-suit investigations, patent portfolio analyses, and post-grant proceedings.

Jackob also dedicates significant time to pro bono work, including in conjunction with the Texas Civil Rights Project and actual innocence projects for those who have been wrongfully convicted and imprisoned.

After law school, Jackob served as a law clerk to Judge Nancy M. Koenig, Magistrate Judge for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
