Jonathan D. Born

Jon practises commercial real estate law, with an emphasis on real estate ‎investment transactions and property development involving assets across Canada and the United States.

He provides business-focused advice on all aspects of real estate matters, including the ‎acquisition, disposition, management, operation, financing, leasing and development of all property types, as well ‎as joint ventures and partnerships.‎

Jon has experience in structuring and leading real estate ‎development projects, transactions and investments, including advising on tax considerations. He regularly handles cross-border transactions for Canadian, U.S.-based, and international clients and has experience with complex ‎transactions involving natural resources, hospitality, data centers, and other unique ‎operating businesses. He also assists lenders and borrowers in financing transactions and acts on real estate-related corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions and securities ‎offerings.‎
