Prior Experience

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Seamus was a trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice, Tax Division, where he handled significant civil enforcement and tax refund cases. Before the Tax Division, Seamus worked for a “Big Four” accounting firm’s Tax Quality & Risk Management group where he advised the firm’s tax practice on various risk matters including reportable transaction disclosure obligations and compliance with applicable practice standards. Finally, before law school, Seamus was a practicing CPA for another “Big Four” accounting firm and worked on audits of publicly traded defense contractors.
