Ciara Browne is an intellectual property and technology lawyer, with her work spanning both contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters. She advises a wide range of indigenous and multinational clients on all aspects of intellectual property, including patent matters, trade marks, passing off, designs, copyright and database rights. Her practice takes a particular focus on multi-jurisdictional patent disputes and she deals with complex high value patent infringements and preliminary injunction applications before the Commercial Court.

Ciara also advises on complex intellectual property issues which arise in corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions and company reorganisations.

  • Acting for a number of social media platforms on various Norwich Pharmacal Applications and take down requests.*
  • Advising a major sports organisation in relation to multiple copyright infringement claims.*
  • Acting for a well known Irish musician in relation to a copyright dispute involving a claim for joint authorship by another musician.*
  • Advising an Irish University in the defence of copyright infringement proceedings in the Circuit Court.*
