Dan Clemons represents institutional investors in primary, secondary, and co-investments in private equity funds and other alternative assets. He assists these clients with the review and negotiation of investment documentation, including limited partnership agreements, side letters, transfer agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.

Prior Experience

Prior to joining DLA Piper to focus on investor representation, Dan was a partner at a mid-size Texas law firm, where he provided outside general counsel representation and served as a trusted advisor in corporate governance matters, securities offerings and investments, commercial contracts, and mergers and acquisitions.  Prior to that, Dan was in-house counsel, vice president and head of legal operations for a global investment firm with over $500 billion in assets under management.
