Dan Cole offers broad experience representing investors, fund sponsors and other real estate owners, operators, and developers in a variety of transactions – with a focus on joint ventures, real estate private equity funds, and complex real estate transactions across all asset classes. His corporate experience also includes the structuring of private placement offerings, equity and convertible debt investments, and asset and stock transactions. Notably, Dan's experience includes work in house for Equity Residential, during which he assisted in structuring all development joint ventures for the real estate investment trust's (REIT's) portfolio which, at the time, consisted of US$1.6 billion of development projects across the United States.
In addition to his corporate and joint venture work, Dan is involved in all areas of commercial real estate and development, including property acquisitions/dispositions, financing, restructurings, tax planning, development agreements, and design and construction contracts.
In addition to his law degree, Dan is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
