Jennifer Cook Purcell focuses her practice on the representation of national, regional, and local developers, builders, and real estate investment companies in the acquisition, disposition, development, and administration of residential, commercial, mixed-use, multi-family, office, retail, and industrial projects, as well as in the formation and administration of condominium and master planned community projects.

Before joining DLA Piper, Jennifer worked as an associate for an international law firm.

  • Representation of a regional real estate developer in the development of 700-acre mixed-use development located in Central Texas, including structuring, negotiating, and implementing master planned restrictive covenant schemes for various governmental, office, retail, and light industrial sites, as well as multi-family sites with shared amenities.
  • Representation of a national real estate developer in the development of a 2,050-acre master planned resort–style residential community, including restructuring a governance system that includes a residential component, a fractional ownership component, a condominium ownership component, and a golf club component.
  • Representation of a multinational technology company in the acquisition of the company’s campus located in Austin, Texas.
  • Representation of a real estate investment company in the acquisition of various multifamily projects across Texas totalling US$511 million.
  • Representation of a real estate investment company in the development and sale of a US$75 million campus housing project in Austin, Texas.
  • Representation of a local land trust in the negotiation of a conservation easement encumbering 286 acres.
  • Representation of a local public entity in the acquisition and development of a metro rail station in a major urban area.
